Anand Kumar of’Super 30′ fined Rs 50,000 in cheating situation by Gauhati HC.
GUWAHATI: The Gauhati High Court has arranged Anand Kumar of Super 30 fame to pay a compensation of Rs 50,000 to five people who had filed a cheating case against him and directed him to appear before it.
In September last year, four students of Indian Institute of Technology-Guwahati had transferred that the Gauhati HC alleging that Kumar, who claims to be a”mathematician”, was cheating innocent IIT aspirants and their guardians by”giving manipulated and false results”. In that sequence, the bench had said,”We will be constrained on issuing a bailable warrant of arrest because of his production” when he did not look.
During a hearing on Tuesday, the court led Kumar to be personally present before it on November 28 and pay compensation of Rs.10,000 each to the”pupils and guardians” that were cheated by Mr Kumar from the name of Super 30. The petitioners alleged:”Due to the incorrect projection given by Anand Kumar, each year a variety of pupils from different parts of the nation approach him with complete faith and trust that he, who seems to become an IIT Baba, will help them in qualifying the IIT entrance examination.
The petitioners also alleged that after 2008, Kumar wasn’t conducting”Super 30″ classes.
“Whenever IIT results are declared, he appears before media with some of the pupils of Ramanujam School of Mathematics and other students and asserts that they are Super 30 students who have qualified at the entry exam. The petitioners maintained Kumar wasn’t qualified to instruct IIT aspirants and competent. They said before 2008, there was online which revealed local journalists eliciting information from them and talking to pupils to visuals. Because the successful students were introduced prior to the press, the media information and the accounts seemed authentic.
“After 2009, these reports and visuals are conspicuously missing on the internet. There are pictures of Anand Kumar while the reports imply that no journalist could talk to successful students which indicates that post 2008 was 41, climbing on the shoulders of students. “It is related to mention herein that from the year 2018 also, Sri Kumar claimed that from his Super 30, out of 30 students, 26 students cleared the IIT entrance exam but till today Sri Kumar hasn’t divulged the names of 26 IIT entry qualified students,” that the petitioners alleged.
